If you’re hankering for some decent Thai fare after some binge shopping at MBK in Bangkok, do drop by this place located in Siam Square, which is just across the street. The restaurant is called Rod Dee Det, and well known for their beef and pork ball noodles, as well as their Khao nah kai, or Chicken over rice with gravy, served with fresh green chillies.
Fair warning, there’s no air conditioning and sweating is inevitable. But the food is simple and satisfying, especially when coupled with the rich broth and fresh beansprouts. You may want to order a few dishes, as the portion size isn’t too big.
