I never knew that coffee could elicit such emotions. Tucked within a secluded neighborhood in the Meguro ward, lies a humble coffee joint that serves well-crafted, single origin coffee.
I found this magnificent place through a recommendation from Rene Redzepi’s, chef/owner of Noma, on his interview with Conde Nast Traveller. They serve 6 different types of coffee beans, and I had the Ndiara from Kenya, which was redolent of Mandarin orange juice, and incredibly smooth. I had purchased 250g of it, which fetched 2500 yen. Purchasing coffee beans would also provide the customer with a complimentary cup of coffee. I had opted for the cappuccino, which was amazingly smooth and actually, probably the best one I’ve ever had thus far.
Anybody visiting Tokyo has to come by this wonderful cafe. I guarantee that you’ll leave elated and utterly satisfied.
