Had a bit of time to spare while transiting at Heathrow airport, so reckon I’ll start downloading all my thoughts and experiences while the memory is still fresh from the trip.
Yes, I already miss Emilia Romagna! Not many people might have heard of it, but its importance to the culinary identity of Italy is undeniable, especially considering the products from this region such as Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Balsamic Vinegar, Prosciutto di Parma, and the amazingly decadent Culatello di Zibello, just to name a few. It’s also home to various luminaries and legends such as Pavarotti, and of course Enzo Ferrari.
For any gastronome who takes their food seriously, you will have this visit here and delve deep into its culture and history.
Here is my Emilia Romagna Itinerary for your enjoyment.
